What to Expect
Are you needing to create some space and time to slow down, to pause, to connect with yourself and your Higher Self, to rest deeply, to rejuvenate? Then do join me for these blissful afternoons of compassionate nurturing.
When we enter deep states of rest it allows the parasympathetic nervous system to be restored so that we feel more peaceful, balanced and grounded. A restored nervous system also encourages all the body systems to work more efficiently, creating a healthier, happier you!
These mini-Retreats allow you to unwind, relax and rest deeply. They may include gentle somatic movements, restorative postures, breathing practices, chanting and iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation.
Not sure if this is for you then please feel free to phone and have a chat – 027 461 2000.
- No experience required.
- Please dress warmly as the body tends to cool down when we enter deep states of relaxation. Warm socks a must!
- To book your online or in-person space, please use the booking form below.
- Payment is required by electronic transfer when you book in.
Restorative Yoga
With restorative poses the body is completely supported and held with blankets, bolsters and sometimes blocks, in comfortable and nurturing positions. We can also use eye bags to help calm the mind.
The poses are usually held for ten to twenty minutes to provide time for the body and mind to unwind and relax. Restorative Yoga poses work with the energy flows in our body and have a therapeutic effect on the whole nervous system. Restorative poses gently open the body, creating space and release where there once was tightness and holding.
iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation
iRest helps you question all that you take yourself to be. It encourages you to ask:
Am I my body?
Am I my thoughts?
Who am I?
These enquiries reveal the changing nature of what you perceive as solid reality. Through these meditative led enquiries into the nature of who and what you are, you become less reactive or identified with, any thought, belief, emotion, sensation, image or experience. Instead, you witness these changing phenomena without judgement and create an unshakable equanimity, even in the midst of change and uncertainty.
